What is it?
A private limited company owned by a registered charity, CPL Group, which operates within the education sector.
What does it do?
Tenet Education Services offers procurement consultancy to the education sector, and donates all profits made at the end of each year to CPL Group. The latter’s board of trustees then decide on how its surplus reserves will be used – last year, this amounted to £500,000 of funding, which was committed to projects supporting schools, academies and the FE sector to help improve teaching and learning within their organisations.
What makes it different?
The company has been established for 25 years, working exclusively in the education sector. It has a nationwide reach, working with SBMs across the country on complex tenders involving, for instance, the outsourcing of cleaning and catering provision.
Additionally, Tenet Education Services makes itself available to schools and MATs for the duration of agreed contract periods to provide support, advice and guidance on MAT expansion, premature contractor departures and other contractual issues for no additional cost.
